Martha Louise (McCauley) Vogel

Martha Louise Vogel of Norman, Oklahoma, passed away on April 10, 2024, at the age of 89.  She was born August 20, 1934, in Kansas City, Missouri. 

Martha was preceded in death by her husband, John; her sister,  Norma; her brother, Thomas; her mother, Genevieve; and her father, Joseph.  She was the last of her generation.

She is survived by her son, Steve and his wife Melissa; son, Scott; and grandchildren, Bailey, Maggie, Riley, Teal, and Indigo.

Martha was raised in Kansas City, Missouri.  She attended Catholic school.  After graduating high school, she worked as a bookkeeper, homemaker, volunteer, and as an administrative assistant at the University of Oklahoma Lloyd Noble Arena.  She enjoyed sewing, arts and crafts, growing shamrocks, and her beloved Sooners.  She had a soft spot in her heart for animals.

Martha loved and cherished her family, especially her grandchildren, and friends.  She went out of her way, often sacrificing her own happiness, to take care of others.  She maintained a strong belief in God and was a kind and giving soul.
